10.00 p.m. Informal Singing Session hosted by Annette Munnelly

 

Saturday:

11.00 a.m. Singing Workshop facilitated by Máire Ni Chróinín  - €5.00

2.00 p.m. Informal Singing Session with singers in Irish and English.

4.00 p.m.  Seminar: "Club, County, Country"- our sporting roots - featuring Paddy

Hayes, Eoghan Corry, Johnny Moynihan, Ollie Byrnes, Marty Morrissey.

GUEST PROFILES

Marty Morrissey: Is an Irish sports commentator and TV presenter of regular high profile events for RTE. He has commentated on All Ireland Senior Hurling and Football finals and has covered The Olympic Games for them. He has great Clare links, his father being from Kilmurry Ibrickane. His catchphrase is: "Are you ready to rock?".

Edel Vaughan: A native of Crusheen, she is a Muinteóir Scoile, a singer and teacher of songs. Also a flute player, she sings with Joe Searsons Band.

Tonto Murphy: Are a three man traditional/ country band, based in Miltown Malbay. The line-up consists of: Sean Malone, Mandolin/ Fiddle, Eamonn Bromell Fiddle, Blaise Phelan. Guitarist/Vocalist.

Jimmy Crowley: Is the self proclaimed "Voice of Cork". A founder member of the famous Stoker's Lodge, he has recently returned from his wanderings in the U.S.A. He brings a great knowledge of all types of sporting songs to the festival.

Ollie Byrnes: Is an Ennis man of Clooney, Newmarket on Fergus. Renowned for his love Irish Traditional Music and hurling, and his great love of social, sporting and the political history of the GAA, he is enamoured of all genres of music, and has contributed many musical articles to various publications, notably "Clare Hurling Voices".

Micheál Marrinan: Is a Singer/Songwriter, and a retired dairy farmer. Born in Dunmanway and partly reared in County Clare, he is a prominent member of Comhaltas Ceolteóirí Éireann, and a director of "Sliabh na Féile", school of Traditional Arts.

Paddy Hayes: Is a Limerick man, now retired to Knockliscrane, Miltown Malbay. Married to Marie with 3 adult children, he comes from a rugby-loving family. He played for Shannon Rugby Club and has represented Ireland. He is an avid follower of International Rugby and has travelled the world  supporting Ireland.

Eoghan Corry: Is an Irish journalist and author, who was born in Dublin in 1961. He has published several books: including: The Nation Holds Its Breath, The GAA Book of Lists and "The History of Gaelic Football.
